Auditors are not required to complete course readings and assignments, but often find that their experience is enhanced by some advanced preparation. Classes take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the scheduled weekend. Non-degree students may register for up to three postprofessional courses; they fully participate in the course and receive credit. Auditors may not register for Online and some hybrid courses.

Please see the postprofessional course schedule and course descriptions for current course offerings.

For students interested in auditing a course, after you have completed the application and been admitted, the administrative assistant will E-mail additional program information along with a course registration form.  You can register up until the course begins.  Audit tuition is half the full tuition rate and is stated on the registration form.  E-mail or fax your registration form to the postprofessional program administrative assistant.  Course syllabus, information, location and payment information will be E-mailed to the students once registered and prior the course start dates as indicated on the course schedules.  You must attend all sessions of the 2 or 3-day weekend course.

We are happy to provide documentation of the contact hours that you attend for a given course in order for continuing education credits to be awarded. However, you may want to check with your state licensing board to see how they view graduate courses.  Some students have reported that courses taken for graduate credit do not count as "continuing education" in their state.   We do not directly issue CEU's.  It is up to the student to submit documentation to the state for approval.

1. As an auditor, you should participate freely in lab sessions and classroom discussion. Auditors are not required to complete pre-course assignments or tests, but may choose to do so.

2. Students may not retake classes for credit that have previously been audited.

3. The following paragraph outlines your responsibility to disclose pertinent information to the course instructor when appropriate:

“Students should realize that many courses require that the student examine and be examined by other students to practice techniques and learn various procedures as supervised by the course instructors.  During any given laboratory sessions, it is the responsibility of the student to disclose to the instructor any physical or medical conditions that might make performing or receiving certain techniques inadvisable.  In no instance will a student be penalized if a physical or medical condition prevents them from receiving certain examination or treatment procedures.  However, successful completion of some courses may require the performance of certain psychomotor skills.” (Postprofessional Student Handbook)
