Dr. Stephanie Kelly is Dean of the College of Health Sciences and an associate professor.

Her scholarly interests primarily relate to teaching and learning as it relates to the UIndy motto of “Education for Service”.  These interests in the area of clinical education and service learning have led to multiple presentations and publications, including a presentation at the International Service Learning Symposium in Athens, Greece in 2009. Within the College of Health Sciences, she teaches content related to qualitative research, teaching and learning, and professional issues.  She is a trainer for both Level I and Advanced Clinical Instructor Credentialing workshops developed by the American Physical Therapy Association and assists with teaching of the APTA Faculty Development Workshop for New Faculty.   

Dr. Kelly has clinical experience in rehabilitation of individuals with stroke, brain injury and amputations.    She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and its sections on Education, Neurology, and Health Policy and Administration.

Stephanie has been named to the Advisory Board for the Indiana Chapter of the Albert Schweitzer US Fellows program, a program dedicated to addressing health disparities and the social determinants of health within Indiana through development of leaders in service.  Indiana launched the 13th chapter of the fellowship program in January 2011. 

Dr. Kelly and Heidi King, SPT, presented “Bringing the Clinic to the Classroom:  A Description of a Novel Program for Educating Physical Therapists” as a poster presentation at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association in New Orleans, LA in February 2011.
