Ellen Miller is an associate professor with a joint appointment in the Krannert School of Physical Therapy and the Center for Aging and Community. She is the Executive Director of the Center for Aging and Community. Her doctoral studies focused on Motor Control and Gerontology.
She is supervising and conducting research related to fitness in the elderly, has presented her findings at the APTA Annual Conference and Combined Sections and had published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Miller is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Sections on Neurology, Education and Geriatrics, as well as the National Council on Aging. She is the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Southport Adult Day Center and provides clinical education opportunities for students at that site.
She is a peer reviewer for Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, the publication for the Section on Geriatrics. Dr. Miller has presented continuing education seminars throughout the country and has participated in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation seminar in Guatemala. Her clinical interests include the rehabilitation of geriatric and neurologically involved patients.
