Eligibility for the Postprofessional MHS:
Licensed physical therapists are eligible to apply to the MHS program.

Application Instructions

  1. Completed online application.
  2. Two completed recommendations forms. https://www.applyweb.com/apply/kranptpp/ptpp_recommendation_form.pdf. Select professional and academic references who can write knowledgeably about your potential within the program.
  3. Nonrefundable application fee: $50 payable online at the end of the application.
  4. Personal Statement. Submit as part of the online application essay describing how completion of this degree will help you meet your professional goals.
  5. Copy of physical therapy license: Send a copy of any certification that allows you to practice physical therapy in your current region.
  6. Evaluation of foreign educational credentials. Because universities around the world differ, we require this evaluation as an assurance that you have completed the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor's degree in physical therapy. (Photocopies are not acceptable for this portion of your application material.) We require a course-by-course credential evaluation.

  7. TOEFL/TWE Scores: TOEFL/TWE Scores: Students for whom English is a second language are required to submit TOEFL and TWE scores. Photocopies are not acceptable. Scores of 100 Internet-based total or 250 Computer-based total on the general TOEFL and a score of 5.0 on the Test of Written English (TWE) are the minimal score requirements for application. TOEFL scores should be sent to institution code R1321 and school code R0619.
  8. Certification of Finances (Students applying for visas only): For applicants not living and working as physical therapists in the USA, we require assurances that you have adequate funds to support yourself during your anticipated two years of study.
  9. Photocopy of Passport. This is needed to ensure that the I-20 information is accurate.

    Retention of application materials. Application materials become the property of the University of Indianapolis and will not be returned to the applicant. Application materials of unsuccessful candidates are retained for one year.
    Note: Applications must be complete by February 1. This means that the online application must be submitted and all supporting documents must be received in our office by February 1 in order for an applicant to be considered for fall admission. Once a review is complete, applicants will be notified of their status in February, and the top applicants will be offered admission.
