How do the prerequisites for the physical therapy program fit into different majors?

The prerequisite courses fit into an undergraduate degree plan in different ways, depending on the chosen major. Many of the PT program prerequisites fulfill general education requirements, regardless of the major that is chosen. The remainder of the prerequisites will either fulfill requirements of the major or will be taken as electives.

       To illustrate, consider two pre-PT students, one planning to complete a biology major and one who wishes to be a history major. Both students know that they need to complete an appropriate set of prerequisite courses. For the student pursuing a biology major, all the prerequisites will meet either general education or major requirements as shown below:
